Nine of the 10 largest cities in Maricopa County provide vehicle allowances to select employees and some provide allowances to elected officials. This database includes the names, positions, annual salaries and allowances given as of Jan. 1, 2010. Police personnel who respond to crimes were not included. The Arizona Republic obtained the data through public records requests filed with each municipality.
